Currently, we are in the process of editing forthcoming volume for publication entitled Sustainable Human Resource Management: Psychological Perspectives, to be published by Apple Academic Press/CRC Press, Taylor & Francis, U.S.A. We would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite you to submit your work for consideration in this publication.

We are looking forward to your chapter abstract submission by 31 December, 2023 for consideration in these volumes for publication.

The Details of the Book as follows:

Since the publication of United Nation’s World Commission on Environment and Development report (WCED, 1987), sustainability has become the mantra and the catchword of the current century. Climate change, environmental degradation, population explosion, unmitigated extraction of natural resources and the uneven resource consumption by the industrialized and less industrialized nations underline the importance of sustainability and sustainable development and consumption of resources. Enterprises around the world have realized the importance of sustainability to reduce the ecological impact of their operations, but not many have paid sufficient attention to how sustainability applies to their human capital. Corporate needs to think how sustainability practices will impact the social and human aspects of their employees. Companies big or small have to eventually take a dive towards sustainability or sustainable development and must focus on maintaining or improving the quality of work life.

Our book will begin by defining sustainable HRM followed by outlining the importance of sustainable HRM. The corporate sector has recognized the emerging concern focusing on the sustainability and sustainable development.

Simultaneously the central role of human resources has been recognized for their business strategic importance during the last three decades. However, the current state-of-the-art research on sustainability largely focuses on resource based view of corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility and sustainable work practices.

Our book will tackle sustainable Human Resources Management (HRM) at multiple levels of analysis and different time perspectives. The intersection of sustainability and human resource management is based on the twin assumption of the role of HRM in promoting organizational sustainability and the sustainability of HRM processes itself.

Drastic changes in global climate on account of the destruction of nature along with its consequences on the health/well-being/unemployment leading to social and economic problems have posed a serious challenge to the organizations at the micro and the nations at the macro level. It becomes imperative to motivate the employees and imbibe a performance culture to bring in a renewed role for HRM for business sustainability. Linking sustainability to HRM would deal with the related issues of the Green HRM, socially responsible HRM, ethical HRM, etc. This part of the book will trace the sustainable HRM from an evolutionary perspective, by analyzing the extant literature.

Full-length original and unpublished papers, based on theoretical and experimental contributions related, case studies in relevant field but not limited to the following topics, are solicited for publication in the book:
