The primary aim of the series is to introduce, discuss, and explore contemporary research developments in a variety of areas of the rapidly growing field of operations and supply chain management. The volumes will deal with topics that include supply chain design, uncertainty and the bullwhip effect, contracts and supply chain coordination, capacity and sourcing decisions, data analytics, applications and practice, theories and teaching supply chain management, and much more…

The editors plan to highlight significant contributions in the field of supply chain management and will include:

  • research surveys
  • case studies
  • qualitative and quantitative research work
The series will provide multiple levels of analysis and focus, ranging from applications of various behavioral theories from economics and management to technological issues including digitization and Industry 4.0 and their impact on various operations and supply chain processes. Topics within the field of operations and supply chain management will be considered:
  • Sustainable Supply Chain Management
  • IT in Supply Chain Management (Big Data, IoT Applications etc.).
  • Operations and Supply Chain Sustainability
  • Policy Research
  • Innovation and Technology
Features of the volumes will include real-time examples, case studies and practices, and glossaries of terms.

The volumes aim to be valuable references and resources for undergraduate and post-graduate students specializing in such as strategic management, human resource management, production, and operations management as well as for researchers and professionals in supply chain management and essentially the members of industry networks, academics, governmental agencies, policymakers, and industry practitioners. Ultimately, the series aims to reflect the comprehensive outlook of strategizing operation and supply chain management theories with ongoing advancements in the service and manufacturing setups.

The first volume in the series, planned for publication in 2018, is Opportunities and Challenges in Sustainable Supply Chains: An Operations Perspective and Further Research Directions, edited by Jose Arturo Garza-Reyes and Sudhanshu Joshi.

Initially, the series plans to publish one volume annually.

Each volume will have about 300-320 pages per volume.
Style: APA 6 edition shall be followed.
Proposal Submission: Please provide a A one-page chapter proposal that explains how the chapter fits into the series’/book’s goals and scope.
