Dr. Singh earned his MSc in Microbiology at Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut, India, and his PhD in Microbiology at Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar, India. He has awarded a UGC-BSR (University Grants Commission-Basic Scientific Research, New Delhi) fellowship for his PhD program. Navneet Bithel, PhD Professor, Department of Botany and Microbiology, Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India; Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences Navneet Bithel, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Botany and Microbiology at Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India, where he was Head of the Department of Botany and Microbiology 2013–2016. He is currently holding the position of Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences and was formerly Dean of Student Welfare and Coordinator for the National Service Scheme of Gurukul Kangri University. He has guided 25 PhD students and is supervising six research students on varied aspects of microbiology. Dr. Bithel has published over 250 research papers and reviews in national and international journals and is a fellow of the Indian Botanical Society and the Indian Phytopathological Society and a life member of several other academic societies.
