Functional food sources are becoming popular and more researched because they are exceptionally nutritious and have various amazing medical advantages. For instance, they might ensure against infection, prevent supplement deficiency, and advance appropriate health development and improvement. CONTENTS: About the Authors / Editors: Editor: Raj K. Keservani, PhD, MPharm Associate Professor, Faculty of B. Pharmacy, CSM Group of Institution, Allahabad, India Raj K. Keservani, PhD, MPharm, is working as Associate Professor in the Faculty of B. Pharmacy at the CSM Group of Institutions, Prayagraj, India. He has more than 12 years of academic (teaching) experience from various institutes of India in pharmaceutical education. He has supervised more than 25 undergraduate students for their research work. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers in the field of pharmaceutical sciences in national and international journals, six patents, over 70 book chapters, three co-authored books, and over 40 edited books. He is also active as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. His research interests include nutraceutical and functional foods, novel drug delivery systems (NDDS), transdermal drug delivery/drug delivery, health science, cancer biology, and neurobiology. Dr. Keservani graduated with a pharmacy degree from the Department of Pharmacy, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. He received his Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) (specialization in pharmaceutics) from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, India. He earned his PhD degree from IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Dr. Keservani is a life member of the Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER). Eknath D. Ahire, MSPharm Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, MET’s, Institute of Pharmacy, Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik, Maharashtra, India Eknath D. Ahire, MSPharm, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at MET’s Institute of Pharmacy, Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik, Maharashtra, India. He is also affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. He has over five years of experience, including four years of academic experience as an assistant professor and one year in the industrial world as Formulation Scientist II with Torrent Research Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujrat, India. He is a reviewer for several reputed international journals. He was awarded an AICTE-sponsored P.G. Research Scholarship by the Government of India. He has more than 25 publications (research, review, and book chapters) to his credit, published in national and international reputed indexed journals as well as five textbooks. He has worked on nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, nutraceuticals, and novel drug delivery systems.
