Innovations in Agricultural and Biological Engineering
About the Series CALL FOR CHAPTERS FOR BOOK SERIES:
Innovations in Agricultural and Biological Engineering
The editor of the book series Innovations in Agricultural and Biological Engineering is pleased to invite you and members of your working group to submit a chapter for this book series, published by Apple Academic Press, USA.
This book series offers academia, engineers, technologists, and users from different disciplines information to gain knowledge on the breadth and depth of this multifaceted field. The field of agricultural engineering is interdisciplinary, as it requires knowledge of physics, engineering, economics, agronomy, crop science, sociology, and manufacturing technology. There is an urgent need to explore and investigate the current shortcomings and challenges in agricultural engineering. This book series, in short, conveys the key concepts in agricultural and biological engineering and explores new and innovative methods and technology.
We welcome chapters on the following specialty areas (but not limited to):
1. Academia to industry to end-user loop in agricultural engineering
2. Agricultural mechanization
3. Aquaculture engineering
4. Biological engineering in agriculture
5. Biotechnology applications in agricultural engineering
6. Energy source engineering
7. Food and bioprocess engineering
8. Forest engineering
9. Hill land agriculture
10. Human factors in engineering
11. Information and electrical technologies
12. Irrigation and drainage engineering
13. Nanotechnology applications in agricultural engineering
14. Natural resources engineering
15. Nursery and greenhouse engineering
16. Potential of phytochemicals from agricultural and wild plants for human health
17. Power systems and machinery design
18. GPS and remote sensing potential in agricultural engineering
19. Robot engineering in agriculture
20. Simulation and computer modeling
21. Smart engineering applications in agriculture
22. Soil and water engineering
23. Structures and environment engineering
24. Waste management and recycling
25. Any other focus area
Proposals related to the socioeconomic impact, innovative technologies, case studies, educational/industrial experience, classroom and outreach aids, success stories, etc. are also most welcome. We also welcome review chapters. The manuscripts can be: Research Papers; Case Studies; Thematic Articles; Thesis Chapters; Dissertation; or Thematic Reviews.
Author(s) interested in these themes may submit a short proposal (title, authors’ names and contact information, summary, keywords, proposed date of chapter submission) of the chapter by email to Dr. Goyal at
. Authors are requested to indicate the proposed date of chapter submission.
After your proposal is accepted, we require that the chapter manuscript be submitted in Word 2010 on a letter-sized paper with no line numbering, line spacing of 1.5, in Times New Roman 11-point font size, with margins top/bottom of 1” and margins left/right of 1.25”, and editable equations with an equation editor in WORD 2010. A typical chapter will include:
• chapter title
• authors’ names with affiliation/email/mailing address
• introduction/abstract
• literature review (if applicable)
• theoretical approach (if applicable)
• materials and methods (if applicable)
• results and discussion
• conclusions
• summary
• detailed list of keywords
• references using numbering system and in alphabetical order
• glossary of technical terms (>7)
• appendix (if applicable)
• list of abbreviations/symbols in the chapter
Also, we prefer a numbering system for citations in the body of a chapter. A specialized chapter need not follow this format. In all our books, we use only US English only. A complete instructions sheet for chapter preparation is available.
Please provide original material written by you and your co-authors. NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT USE COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS that have been published unless you have reprint permission from the original publisher. OPEN SOURCE articles can be evaluated. (The publisher and the editors are against plagiarism, and such activity will only delay publication of books in the series. Use of such material without having the reprint permission is unethical and punishable under international law and may carry the fine by the authorities. The manuscripts/chapters are subjected to plagiarism checking by antiplagiarism software at different levels.) If you include figures, illustrations, tables, etc., previously published elsewhere (in print or online), permission is needed unless the material is in the public domain or open access (allowing commercial use). (AAP can provide instructions on how to request permission.)
AAP handles all production processes from editing to marketing at no charge to authors and editors. There are NO PAGE CHARGES to authors. All contributing authors will receive pdf copy of the volume that includes their chapter.
Our team expects to work with you closely on your submission. We can assure you the best quality production. We look forward to hearing from you!

COMMENTS FROM AAP EDITORS AND AUTHORS
AAP book title: Advances in Audiology and Hearing Science (2-volume set)
“I have collaborated with AAP during the process of bringing my two-volume editing work to a final publishing phase. AAP support has been truly important throughout the initial and final stages of the book. While the majority of the publishing work is done at the early stages, the final touches that include the last-minute corrections of the authors are extremely crucial to the quality the book tries to convey. The assistance of AAP during the last stages of corrections and communication with the authors was a very positive contributor to my state of mind during those stressful moments. I recommend the publishing experience with AAP to other editors of scientific material.”
—Stavros Hatzopoulos, PhD, Hearing Science Laboratory, University Hospital of Ferrara, Ferrara, Italy
AAP book title: Nanotechnologies: The Physics of Nanomaterials (2-volume set)
“I was very pleased with the interaction and support of the team at Apple Academic Press. They provided me with regular and useful information and updates throughout the publishing procedure. I am also very happy with the final product, which is of good quality. The books are now available and are professionally distributed through the various channels. I would like again to thank the team at AAP for all their hard work and support.”
—David Schmool, PhD, Director, Groupe d’Etude de la Matière Condensée GEMaC, National Centre for Scientific Research, Université de Versailles/Saint-Quentin, Université Paris-Saclay,Versailles, France
AAP book title: Physiology of Molluscs (2-volume set)
“I have enjoyed the full benefit of support, encouragement, and kindness from the members of AAP I have had the pleasure of being associated with. In the same vein, I hope AAP was satisfied with the book series I have edited in advancing the knowledge. It has been a great journey and was a great pleasure and satisfaction. Advancing scholarship through publications is one of the best routes publishers can take, and I would hold AAP as one of the best ones.”
—Saber Saleuddin, PhD, University Professor Emeritus, Department of Biology, York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
AAP book title: Green Chemistry and Sustainable Technology: Biological, Pharmaceutical, and Macromolecular Systems
“It had been my pleasure to work with the production team of Apple Academic Press for almost a decade. The best presentation of our work was due to their hard work and with careful scrutiny. I am sure that every one of them takes extra pains to publish the book nicely, maintaining the quality and timeliness. It was a rewarding experience to work with AAP. I would like to publish more with AAP on my upcoming projects in future also.”
—Prof. Suresh C. Ameta, Professor of Eminence (Distinguished Professor), Faculty of Science, PAHER University, UDAIPUR, India
AAP book title: New Frontiers in Nanochemistry, 3-volume set, plus many others
"Publishing a book, either as author or editor, is a journey from the initial vibration to the piece of knowledge towards the present future of humanity at large. Such a journey is about climbing and tunneling, about diving and driving through, about inspiration and tuning, about hard working in every instance; and it is also about time. Very few Global Publishers have the wisdom and patience and kindness and openness to authors, contributors, and readers while being truly crafting oriented as Apple Academic; yet all is about people and their education, vision and assumed mission; the Apple Academic Team heartily succeed that in achieving the world class scholarly acclaim by the quality involvement in all chain of plus value added with each publishing event. Hearty Compliments! Excelsior Apple Academic!"
