Short description of the volume:

The vision of a biorefinery economy involves replacing fossil fuels with renewables. Achieving this transition will necessitate significant investment in new infrastructure to produce, store, and distribute bio refinery products to end users. Policies encouraging renewable liquid biofuels have garnered considerable support in some countries due to their potential advantages in areas such as agricultural production, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, boosting energy security, improving trade balances, fostering rural development, and providing economic opportunities for developing countries. Current energy policies for environmental issues involve adopting eco-friendly technologies to enhance energy supplies and encourage cleaner, more efficient energy usage. These policies also address air pollution, the greenhouse effect, global warming, and climate change.

The book’s primary aim is to presenting unique research on the related themes of biomass and bio refinery, sustainability, and clean energy alternatives. With a total of sixteen chapters, it explores green or alternative energy pathways within the biomass and bio refinery sectors. it will be a valuable resource for individuals enrolled in courses and involved in cross- and trans- disciplinary research initiatives. It is vital to acquire new scientific information and swiftly incorporate new knowledge and experiences into the renewable energy sector planning and actions. Providing relevant and timely information to professionals, policymakers, and the public is crucial for informed decision-making. Although one book cannot completely fulfill this need, we hope this volume will be a valuable reference for global students, scientists, professionals, and policymakers engaged in the biomass and biofuel sector.
