Short description about the volume:

The book titled Regulatory Frameworks for the Sustainable Renewable Energy Market: A Global Perspective on Legal, Political, and Policy Approaches is designed with the primary aim of offering an extensive examination and comparative analysis of the myriad legal, political, and policy frameworks that have been implemented across various jurisdictions worldwide to support and enhance the renewable energy sector. This scholarly work endeavours to dissect the intricate interrelations among these regulatory dimensions, assessing their collective impact on the promotion, development, and sustainability of renewable energy markets. It seeks to illuminate the challenges, barriers, and opportunities that are inherent in transitioning towards renewable energy sources, ranging from technological and financial hurdles to regulatory and infrastructural constraints. Moreover, the book aims to serve as a conduit for the exchange of knowledge and ideas among a diverse array of stakeholders, including policymakers, industry practitioners, academics, and researchers, thereby fostering a collaborative approach to overcoming obstacles and catalysing innovation within the renewable energy landscape.

The scope of this comprehensive volume extends across several key thematic areas. It encompasses a thorough comparative analysis of international regulatory frameworks, delving into the successes and pitfalls of various national approaches to renewable energy promotion. The book also explores the political economy of renewable energy, examining how political dynamics, economic incentives, and international relationships influence policy formulation and market development. Legal mechanisms and instruments, such as feed-in tariffs, renewable energy certificates, and tax incentives, are scrutinized for their effectiveness in supporting the deployment of renewable technologies. Additionally, the work addresses strategic policy and planning issues, highlighting the importance of integrating renewable energy into broader national and international energy strategies. The role of technological innovation and the influence of market dynamics on the renewable sector are also critical areas of focus, alongside the environmental and social ramifications of a global shift towards renewable energy sources. Lastly, the book looks forward to future trends, offering projections and perspectives on the evolving regulatory landscape and its implications for sustainable energy transitions.
