Thakur Gurjeet Singh, PhD, currently serves as Dean at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab, India. Spanning over 16 years, his academic and industrial experience is distinguished by more than 250 published papers, accruing an impressive 3950 citations, reflecting his significant scholarly impact, characterized by an h-index surpassing 33 and an i10 index of 104. Dr. Singh is globally recognized as one of the top 2% of scientists, an honor bestowed by Stanford University. Dr. Singh has authored about 40 book chapters and nine books. He has filed over 118 patents. Further, Dr. Singh has mentored over 100 MPharm students and currently supervises nearly 20 PhD candidates. His commitment to academic excellence extends to his role as a reviewer for esteemed international journals. He is also a member of several associations and eminent organizations such as APTI, IPS, SPER, and IAMBSS. His primary research domains encompass the intricate realms of cerebral ischemic injury, molecular pharmacology, neuropharmacology, drug dependence, and drug toxicity. Engaged in groundbreaking projects, Dr. Singh focuses on diverse areas such as interception of nicotine, morphine, alcohol dependence, ischemia, diabetic neuropathy and nephropathy toxicology, epilepsy and Alzheimer disease, and stem cell research studies.

Sanjana Mehta, PhD

Sanjana Mehta, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Institutional Innovation Cell (IIC) at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab, India. With five years of academic experience, Dr. Mehta is proficient in clinical studies and medical statistics. Her research interest revolves around advanced pharmacotherapeutic approaches toward metabolic disorders. To date, she has mentored four PharmD students and is currently supervising four PharmD, two MPharm and one PhD candidate. Dr. Mehta is actively involved in the Cancer Screen Project, a collaborative venture funded by DST, New Gen IEDC, and Chitkara University, Punjab, and has obtained a published patent in connection with the project. She has several other published patents as well. She was honored with a best PhD award and awards of honor at the National Pharma Tech & Youth Fest 2023 and 2024. Her academic background includes a PharmD and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacy Practice).
