Umendra Narayan Shukla, PhD, is a Professor at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Dr. Shukla completed his qualifications for MSc, MTA, and PhD in Tourism Management and have 27 years of teaching experience at university level and has contributed research as well. He has also been Head of the Department of Travel & Tourism Management and the Department of Hotel Management and Director of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management and Dean of Faculty of Management at the same university. He is a member of the boards of studies and academic committees of tourism at various universities in India. He has visited and presented his research at national and international conferences, including in countries such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Italy. He has been invited as an expert as well as resource person by many forums of academicians to deliver talks on sustainable and ecotourism, adventure tourism, personality development, and spiritual management. He has published his research in books, magazines, and journals. He has guided many research scholars in the field of tourism and hospitality. He is a lifetime member of several tourism bodies and social organizations. He has edited the book Emerging Dynamics of Indian Tourism and Hospitality while another book, Incredible Tourism of India: Potentials, Policies and Practices, by Copal Publishing Group, India, is under publication.

Sharad Kumar Kulshreshtha, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, North-Eastern Hill University (A Central University), Shillong-Meghalaya, India. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. He has published research papers in books and journals of national repute. He has participated and presented many research papers at national and international seminars and conferences. Recently, he presented a paper at the International Conference on Wine Market and Cultures of Consumption at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He is supervising PhD research scholars in the areas of event tourism, wine tourism, and avi-tourism of north-east India. He has been invited as a resource person at various universities and business associations of India to deliver talks as a subject expert. Dr. Kulshreshtha has guest edited a special issue on “Tourism in Times of COVID-19” for the journal Anais Brasileiros de Estudos Turísticos (ABET).
