Arthritis and psoriasis are two health conditions that have little in common, except that both are globally widespread and mostly chronic. While a range of management techniques are proposed for these conditions, there has been a rise in interest in the potential benefits of nutraceuticals for their treatment, prevention, and management. This new book, Nutraceuticals in Arthritis and Psoriasis, explores plant-derived nutraceuticals that can be used as crucial therapeutic tools in the prevention and treatment of arthritis and psoriasis.

The book provides detailed information on the use of plant-derived nutraceuticals, such as microalgae and other marine botanicals, omega polyunsaturated fatty acids, glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate, plant-based gum, vitamins and oils, probiotic supplements, and others in the treatment and management of arthritis and psoriasis. The first part of the volume focuses on nutraceutical treatments for arthritis. It then goes on to focus on the role of nutraceuticals in the prevention and treatment of psoriasis. The book details recent the scientific evidence on the effectiveness of each of these nutraceutical treatments, offering case studies, results of clinical studies, and more.

With its broad coverage on the important topic of the use of nutraceuticals in the treatment of two common degenerative diseases, this book will prove valuable to healthcare practitioners, nutraceutical researchers, nutrition specialists, industry professionals, as well as faculty and students in the growing field of nutraceuticals and alternative medical treatment.
