This new book presents a comprehensive analysis of the existing knowledge on the connection between gut microbiota and nutraceuticals. It also explores the possible uses of these supplements in treating different diseases linked to dysbiosis and leaky gut syndrome.

This book presents the most recent studies on the advantages of antioxidants and nutraceuticals for gut health, looking at the interactions between different nutraceuticals and the human body, including resveratrol, curcumin, and omega-3 fatty acids, as well as their modes of action. The volume provides an overview on microbiota and immunity with special emphasis on nutrients and an introduction to microbiota and gut health. It discusses microbiota as an immunity-boosting agent, and the management of gut health with prebiotics, probiotics, and nutraceuticals. It discusses fiber and bioactive compounds in gut health, personalized diets and supplements for gut health, and much more.

The book also addresses the difficulties and constraints associated with studying gut health and nutraceuticals, such as the unpredictability of their bioavailability, the difficulty of precisely assessing their effects in humans, and the paucity of knowledge regarding their interactions with other nutrients and medications. In spite of these obstacles, the book comes to the conclusion that there is currently enough data to support the use of nutraceuticals in the prevention and treatment of a number of disorders related to gut health, but further study is necessary to fully realize these benefits.

Health professionals, researchers, and students working in the domains of nutrition, dietetics, food science, pharmacology, and medicine will much of value in this volume.
