This new book provides a detailed overview of some of the fundamental aspects of nanocarbons and their allotropic forms, their preparation techniques, and their applications in several fields of interest. New forms of carbon have the potential to revolutionize many aspects of research, including drug delivery, catalysis, energy conversion and storage, high-strength physics, structural engineering, and more. This volume covers the recent literature on carbon with emphasis on the emerging carbon-based materials developed, studies of their properties, and possible prototype fabricated for practical applications. It covers myriad carbon-based nanomaterials of distinctive features and their application in various fields.

Features:

  • Discusses the emerged forms of carbon in the era of sustainability
  • Explains the synthesis, characterization, and diverse application of nanocarbons
  • Considers the advantages of use of carbon nanomaterials and their composites for electrochemical energy storage, wastewater treatment, etc.
  • Emphasizes the important role of various parameters on the efficacy modulation of carbon nanostructures
The volume is aimed to address the needs of students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and researchers who are interested in the new forms of carbon.
