Ramasamy Santhanam, PhD Former Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Thoothukudi, India Ramasamy Santhanam, PhD, is the former Dean of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Thoothukudi, India. On invitation, he participated and presented research papers at international fisheries science conferences held in Canada, Panama, Denmark, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, S. Korea, and Australia. He has served as a resource person for the training workshop on Tropical Marine Phytoplankton, organized by the Advanced Aquatic Environmental Research Services & Marine Science and Fisheries Centre, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Wealth, Muscat, Oman. He has also served as a member/expert of the American Fisheries Society, World Aquaculture Society, Global Fisheries Ecosystem Management Network, and the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management, Switzerland. Presently he is serving as an editorial board member for the Mediterranean Aquaculture Journal and as a reviewer for the Journal of the World Aquaculture Society. To his credit, Dr. Santhanam has 42 books published on various aspects of marine biology/fisheries science, including fisheries biology, aquaculture, fisheries environment, and medicinal marine life. Three of his books have been listed as “Best Marine Biology Books of All Time” by the World Book Authority. Arumugam Balasubramanian, PhD Associate Dean, College of Fishery Science, Andhra Pradesh Fisheries University, Muthukur, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India Arumugam Balasubramanian, PhD, is Associate Dean of the College of Fishery Science, Andhra Pradesh Fisheries University, Muthukur, AP, India. He has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and extension education. His field of specialization is fisheries resource management. He is presently guiding several MFSc and PhD scholars.
