This book will provide a detailed analysis of computational intelligence technologies in designing energy-efficient intelligent systems with a special emphasis on scalability and sustainability in contemporary engineering practices. Starting from AI-based modeling and simulation, it will consider the application of intelligent energy modeling in intelligent HVAC systems and energy management (BEMS) in smart buildings.

This book will also discuss energy optimization in industry through the use of metaheuristics and integration of renewable energy sources with smart grids. Computational intelligence for electric vehicles, smart routing systems, and intelligent traffic management for greener transport systems are to be discussed in the book. Topics like real-time energy decision-making systems using cloud computing, hybrid optimization approaches, future aspects of AI-based energy optimization systems, and security and privacy aspects of energy management systems will be elaborated upon in the book.
The knowledge acquired through practical examples of AI-based energy forecasting, IoT-enabled energy management systems, and green mobility in smart cities will be reinforced in this book.

Abstract Submission (200 – 300 words) Deadline: August 15th, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: August 30th, 2026
Full Chapter (4,000 – 6,000 words) Submission Due: On or before October 30th, 2026

Submission procedure:
We invite researchers and practitioners to contribute original chapters to this book. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a one-page chapter proposal or abstract outlining the proposed chapter’s content, objectives, and methodology by August 15th, 2026. Please include the chapter title and author details within the proposal. Authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their proposals by August 30th, 2026. Accepted authors will be required to submit completed chapters of 15 to 20 pages by October 30th, 2026. All submitted chapters will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

About the Authors / Editors:
Editors: Dr. Srikanta Kumar Mohapatra

Dr. Srikanta Kumar Mohapatra has more than 22 years of teaching and industrial experience. He has published more than 75 number of research articles in different national and international journals and conferences. He has also acted as the member of editorial board or reviewer board for leading publishing houses including springer, Tech Science, and Elsevier etc.. He has published/filled more than 20 number patents with 5 number of granted patents. Recently he received a CSE Excellence Award from Chitkara University for the Patents and CRISP Initiative. His research areas are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational nanotech etc.

Dr. Abhineet Anand

Dr. Abhineet Anand, with 26+ years of academic and administrative experience, is working as a Professor & Dean Computer Science and Engineering, Bahara University, Waknaghat - 173234. Distt. – Solan (HP). His research includes the following field of endeavor: Cloud Computing: Load Balancing, nearest neighbor method, clustering, optical fiber switching in wavelength multiplexing, automata theory. He has published more than 80 Scopus and SCI indexed papers, He has been part of 20 special sessions at various conferences at international level as session chair/co-chair, contributed at 20 different conferences as technical program committee member. His expertise also includes reviewers at more than 25 conferences and publication groups.

Dr. Pradeepta Kumar Sarangi

Dr. Pradeepta Kumar Sarangi is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Chitkara University, with over two decades of academic and research experience. He specializes in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and database systems, and has contributed extensively through research publications in national and international journals. His work often focuses on practical applications of AI, including healthcare systems, fraud detection, and agricultural analytics, making him an experienced educator and researcher in emerging technology domains.

Dr. Kamakhya Narain Singh

Dr. Kamakhya Narain Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor-II at the School of Computer Applications, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odiasha, India. He holds a PhD in Computer Science & IT, along with M.Tech (CSE) and MCA degrees. He is UGC-NET qualified and a certified trainer. He has over 10 years of teaching experience and prior industry experience as a Software Engineer. His research interests include Data Structures, Programming, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Dr. Singh has published around 50 research papers in reputed journals and international conferences (SCI/Scopus/IEEE/Springer). He has also authored a textbook on Advanced Java and guided several MTech and MCA projects. He has contributed as a reviewer for reputed journals and has been involved in multiple research projects and patent applications.
