The books highlights the importance of maintaining a healthy life style for physical well-being and examines the advantages of using traditional medicine to combat multi-drug-resistance problems caused by modern-day antibiotics. It details the advantages of using holistic approaches to treat infectious diseases with relevant clinical data.

Covering a diverse array of topics in the field of holistic medicine, Holistic Healthcare: Possibilities and Challenges:
  • looks at integrative pharmacology, combining the use of Ayurveda (traditional Indian Medicine [TIM]), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and conventional ,edicine (CM)
  • reviews African traditional and alternative medicine implementation in primary healthcare systems
  • reviews the concepts and principles of yoga
  • discusses the potential bactericidal properties of some plants commonly used in Ayurvedic medicinal practices
  • examines the antibacterial effect of green tea and black tea extract against selected genera of bacteria
  • explores audio visual entertainment and acupressure therapy for insomnia
  • the use of Ayurveda for reproductive issues
In short, this book will provide practitioners and students with new perspectives and information for understanding the limitations of current therapies and encourage them to find strategies that combine modern technology with holistic approaches. The book will be valuable to doctors and researchers from practicing modern medicine (allopathy), as well as those involved in Ayurveda, homeopathy, naturopathy, reiki, along with practitioners of yoga, acupuncture, and more.
