Shakeel Ahmad Bhat is pursuing his PhD in agricultural engineering (soil and water conservation engineering) at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST- K), India. He is currently working on hydroponics technology. He is the author of more than 15 scientific articles, 10 book chapters, and two books. He has presented and participated in numerous state, national, and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. He is also a reviewer for various international journals and holds life memberships in various international organizations. He has qualified several national competitive exams including ASRB-NET, and ICAR-JRF.

Tawheed Amin, PhD

Tawheed Amin, PhD, is presently working as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist in the Division of Food Science and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir). He has been a Food Safety Officer in the Drug and Food Control Organization, Govt. of J&K. He holds a PhD in Food Technology from the Division of Food Science and Technology, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, India. His MTech (Food Technology) is from Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and his BTech (Food Technology) is from the Department of Food Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He is the recipient of two gold medals for being the topper in BTech Food Technology and PhD Food Technology and also received a First Rank Holder certificate in MTech Food Technology. He has attended several national and international conferences, symposiums, and workshops and has presented poster papers. He has to his credit several national and international papers and popular articles.

He was awarded by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), India, for contributing to the concept of emerging technologies for powdered foods. Shafat Ahmad Khan is working as an Assistant Professor at Islamic University of Sciences and Technology, Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He has a bachelor’s from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Sciences and Technology Kashmir. He qualified GATE exam and was awarded a fellowship to pursue his master’s degree in food process engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He has been awarded many projects and his research areas include extraction, greenhouse solar drying, refrigeration, and controlled atmosphere (CA) storage.
