In the digital era, organizations need to create a tech ecosystem to have commendable benefits. The workforce needs to be continuously monitored and progressed to meet the challenges and developments that have evolved significantly over the years and undergo changes and innovations to improve HR practices. The innovations and changing intitutive ability led towards the increasing need to use different techniques for both growing rapidly in the market. Human resources (HR)is the lifeline of an organization. It creates a new perspective of work culture and a new environment which in turn leads to productive and outbound results.

Most of the chapters of this book will be based on models, strategic issues, trends, challenges, and future scenarios of data-driven innovations in the service sector. The book makes for an ideal vehicle for learning and can be used to bring relevance, depth, and breadth to all critical practices aspects related to HR in the service sector. The proposed publication shall contribute to business education using research, and critical and theoretical reviews of issues in human resource practices and service sectors across the globe. Thus, this edited volume aims to collect the best recent research and present old topics in a new light.

As editors, we shall endeavour that this volume explores the applied and empirical facets and critical aspects related to HR in the service sector. In addition, we will do our best to bring the essential elements and critical aspects of HR practices in the service sector under a single title.

We request potential authors to consider submitting their scholarly findings to enrich the content of this intended volume. The book will cover the following topics, but not limited to:

  1. Introduction to descriptive analytics techniques in HR functions and practices.
  2. Investigating the challenges and opportunities associated with the application of data-driven techniques in HR.
  3. Develop models to understand the application of data-driven employee hiring practices.
  4. Develop models to understand the application of data-driven human capital management.
  5. Workforce development planning in the service sector.
  6. Data-driven tools and techniques on vital aspects such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance assessment.
  7. Dat-driven enabled competency models.
  8. Data-driven enabled talent management and turnover minimization models
  9. ANP and AHP models for measuring efficiency in the HR practices in the service sector.
  10. Analyzing the imperative role of leadership in the convergence of data-driven techniques in the organization.
  11. Analyzing data-driven techniques role in assessing workforce motivation and job satisfaction.
  12. Understanding the role of data-driven technologies in work-life balance.
  13. Analyzing and developing models to reduce workforce redundancy.
  14. Analyzing and developing models to assess the risk and strategies to mitigate the risk.

Important Dates:

Initial Proposal / Abstract Submission (400 - 600 words)

Full chapter submission: December, 28th 2024

Notification of Acceptance: January 25th, 2025

Revised chapter Submission Due: On or before: February, 15th 2025


Submission procedure:

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a one-page chapter proposal or abstract on or before August 17th, 2024, clearly mentioning the title of the paper and author(s) details. Author(s) will be notified about the status of their proposals by August 30th, 2024. Full chapters (15-20 pages) are expected to be submitted by December, 28th 2024. All submitted chapters will be peer-reviewed.
