Climate change threatens our planet’s future—and at this point, it’s inevitable. Since it’s too late to prevent climate change, we must find ways to prepare for it, while doing all we can to slow down the processes that are causing it. The editor of this compendium, an experienced and respected scientist is the field, has collected research vital to the challenges we are facing. The book offers a multiperspective look at ways to reduce greenhouse gases and find fossil fuel alternatives from a truly international roster of researchers and scientists.

Included in the book are
  • an initial chapter on climate change impact potentials
  • chapters on reducing the carbon footprint
  • chapters on other greenhouse gases’ reduction
  • chapters on fossil fuel alternatives
  • a final chapter suggesting a new framework for climate change research
The chapters will point graduate students and scientific researchers toward future investigations that are still urgently needed. This compendium will also be a significant resource for policymakers and graduate-level environmental policy students.
