Narendra Kumar, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Production Engineering Department at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Prior to joining NIT Jalandhar, he worked for the Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha, India. He contributed to a DST/AMT-sponsored project titled “Development of Metal-Based Deposition System Using Induction Heating Method” as a research associate. Dr. Kumar is also working as a Principal Investigator (PI) of SERB-DST-funded and ISRO-YUKTI funded projects, which are in progress. He has completed two other research projects as a PI. He has published over 55 research articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and presented at various national/international level conferences. His research interests encompass additive manufacturing, machining methods, and material development. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. His research work focused on the “Development and Performance Evaluation of Pellet-based Additive Manufacturing Process for Flexible Parts.”

Mohit Tyagi, PhD
Associate Professor, Department of Production and Industrial Engineering, Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, India

Mohit Tyagi, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Production and Industrial Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, India. With 10 years of teaching and research experience, he focuses on industrial engineering, supply chain management, corporate social responsibilities, performance measurement systems, data science, and fuzzy inference systems. Dr. Tyagi has guided 25 postgraduate dissertations and 35 undergraduate projects and is presently supervising seven MTech and eight PhD scholars. He has an impressive record of around 125 publications in international and national journals, as well as proceedings of international conferences. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for many esteemed international journals such as the International Journal of Industrial Engineering: Theory, Application and Practices, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, the International Journal of Logistics System Management, and the Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management. Dr. Tyagi has also organized four international conferences, one as a joint organizing secretary at Delhi Technological University, India, and the remaining ones as a convener and secretary at NIT Jalandhar, and PEC Chandigarh. Dr. Tyagi has also been named Best Faculty on 5th September 2023 at PEC Chandigarh for his extraordinary teaching and research skills. He completed his BTech (Mechanical Engineering) with Hons. from UPTU Lucknow in 2008 and MTech (Product Design and Development) with a Gold Medal from MNNIT Allahabad in 2010. In 2015, he was awarded his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (India).

Dilbagh Panchal, PhD

Dilbagh Panchal, PhD, is an Assistant Professor (Grade-I) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. His research focuses on reliability and maintenance engineering, fuzzy decision-making, and operation management. He holds a bachelor’s (Hons.) in mechanical engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Indial a master’s (gold medalist) in Manufacturing Technology from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India; and a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India. Currently, he is supervising two PhD scholars and has guided five MTech dissertations, with two in progress. He has published 56 research papers in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and authored five book chapters with a reputed publisher. Additionally, he has edited a book on advanced multi-criteria decision-making for addressing complex sustainability issues.

Ravi Pratap Singh, PhD

Ravi Pratap Singh, PhD, is an Assistant Professor (Grade-I) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. Prior to this, he served in the Department of Industrial & Production Engineering at NIT Jalandhar, Punjab; as an Assistant Professor for about five years; and in the Department of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, India, for about two years. He has published more than 150 research articles in several SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, including international/national level conferences. He is also an editor of Current Indian Science: Mechanical Engineering and guest editor of World Journal of Engineering, Sensors International, Industrial Robot, IJSMSS, and IJSSCA. Dr. Singh is also working as a Principal-Investigator of SERB-GoI-funded and Co-PI of ISRO-YUKTI-funded projects, which are currently in progress. He has also completed two research projects as a PI & Co-PI. He has also been granted two Indian patents in the domain of development of hybrid machining tools and methods. In addition to his research excellence, he has been awarded as Best Teacher at NIT Jalandhar (2021–2022), as Young Scientist in Mechanical Engineering in VIRA–2019 awards, a Young Faculty in Engineering in VIFA–2019 awards, and a Best Researcher Award in 4th International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science, and Medicine during January 2020 in New Delhi. He has also been nominated as general chair reviewer, technical program committee, national advisory committee, etc., for various national/international events held in China, Norway, Italy, and Sweden. Dr. Singh is also a senior member of ISME and Senior Fellow of The Society of Innovative Educationalist & Scientific Research Professional (SFSIESRP), Chennai. In addition to this, he is also serving as an Ambassador of Bentham Open, as well as a member of the Visor Academic Committee, Singapore. He has been awarded Young Engineer Award (Mechanical Engineering) at the 37th National Convention on Mechanical Engineering and National Seminar, conducted by the Telangana State Center, Khairtabad, Hyderabad, under the aegis of the Institution of Engineers (India), held during December 2022. Dr. Singh has also been ranked among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World, as per the survey conducted by Stanford University for the year 2021 and 2022.
