He received his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India, in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Image Processing; his Master of Engineering with distinction from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, in Instrumentation and Control; and his BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, Lucknow, India.
