Short description about the volume:

This book, Advanced Machining and Manufacturing of Next-Generation Materials and Composites for Industrial Applications, will present a comprehensive and focused exploration of next-generation composite materials, addressing the complete engineering chain from fabrication to machining and real-world applications. As composite materials continue to replace conventional metals in high-performance industries, the need for integrated knowledge of manufacturing routes and machining strategies has become critical. This volume responds to that need by offering a structured, technically rigorous and application-oriented treatment of composite fabrication and machining science. The book will systematically examine advanced fabrication methods for polymer, metal, ceramic and hybrid composite systems, emphasizing process selection, material process compatibility and performance-driven design.

It also will provide a detailed understanding of machining strategies tailored to complex composite architectures, including conventional, nontraditional, hybrid and precision machining approaches. Special attention will be given to machinability behavior, damage mechanisms, surface integrity, tool material interactions and process optimization to ensure structural reliability and functional performance. Bridging theory and practice, the book plans to integrate material science, manufacturing engineering, and machining technology into unified framework. It will highlight how fabrication methods directly influence machinability and how machining strategies must be adapted to evolving composite microstructures. This integrated perspective will enable readers to understand composites not as isolated materials, but as engineered systems requiring coordinated design, processing, and machining solutions.

Designed for both academic and industrial relevance, the book supports advanced research, professional practice, and higher education. It will serve as a valuable reference for researchers, engineers, postgraduate students, and industry professionals working in composite manufacturing, precision machining, and advanced manufacturing systems. By combining scientific depth with practical applicability, this volume contributes to the development of efficient, reliable and scalable manufacturing strategies for next-generation composite technologies across modern industrial sectors.
