This new book, Advanced Drug Delivery Strategies via Microbial Cargos and Their Derivatives, dives into the fascinating field of microbial entities serving as carriers for therapeutic payloads, revealing a wide range of options for revolutionizing drug delivery.

In this volume, experts from around the world provide a comprehensive overview of the many important aspects of microbial drug delivery systems as well as insights on strategies for the development of innovative microbial cargos using the beneficial properties of microorganisms and their derivatives. The chapters present a wide variety of carrier systems obtained using microorganisms or their derivatives. It explores how advanced carrier models like synthetic microbes are being developed as drug delivery systems. Pre-clinical and clinical studies as well as regulatory perspectives are also emphasized in the book, which will aid in the development of more successful drug delivery carriers, which will also result in a more cost-effective process overall.

The volume first provides an introduction to advanced drug delivery systems using microbial cargo and derivatives and then delves into specifics, such as bacterial cellulose-based drug delivery systems, biotic components for oral drug delivery and oral vaccination, virus-based drug delivery systems, synthetic microbes as drug delivery systems, the safety and regulatory aspects of these drug delivery systems, and more.

This volume provides a plethora of information for researchers to investigate the intricacies of microbial drug delivery systems, such as varied cargo types and individual variations. This book will be an invaluable resource for students, giving them a concise grasp of fundamental concepts and most recent developments in these rapidly expanding rules and regulations.
