Important Dates:
Initial Proposal / Abstract Submission (300 - 500 words)
Deadline: June 30th, 2024
Notification of Acceptance: July 15th, 2024
Full Chapter (8,000 - 10,000 words) Submission Due: On or before October 30th, 2024

Submission procedure:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a one-page chapter proposal or abstract on or before June 30th, 2024, clearly mentioning the title of the paper and author(s) details. Author(s) will be notified about the status of their proposals by July 15th, 2024. Full chapters (15-20 pages) are expected to be submitted by October 30th, 2024. All submitted chapters will be peer-reviewed.

Imran Hossain is a dedicated academician and researcher with a profound commitment to sustainable development and environmental governance. Currently, Imran serves as a lecturer in Political Science at Varendra University, Bangladesh. Beyond his academic role, Imran has delved into extensive research on the SDGs, collaborating with both national and renowned international organizations. Imran’s research portfolio is diverse and impactful, encompassing projects on various aspects of sustainable development, including environmental governance, waste management, climate change, water management, and sustainable cities. Notably, he is at the forefront of exploring the intersection between sustainable development and Industry 4.0 tools, aiming to utilize technology to achieve sustainable solutions. His research interests span sustainable governance, smart technology, sustainable waste management, and IoT-based solutions for environmental sustainability. Imran actively engages in scholarly discourse by participating in national and international conferences. As a testament to his expertise, he serves as a reviewer for various scientific journals indexed in Scopus. Imran has published a number of research articles and book chapters indexed in Scopus and other renowned databases. Imran’s dedication to advancing knowledge extends to editorial roles, where he currently serves as the editor of a forthcoming scientific book titled "Intersecting Environmental Governance with Technological Advancement," to be published by IGI Global International, USA. He is also serving as an editor of a scientific book entitled "Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in the Industry 4.0", to be published by CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group. Beyond academia, Imran is a prolific writer and columnist for national dailies, where he shares insights and perspectives on sustainable development, environmental governance, and smart technology.

A. K. M. Mahmudul Haque, PhD
Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi- 6205, Bangladesh

Dr. A. K. M. Mahmudul Haque is currently serving as a professor of political science at the University of Rajshahi. He has been serving academia for over a decade. He did his Ph.D. in environmental governance in Bangladesh, outlining the practices, policies, and challenges from the Institute of Bangladesh Studies of the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He attended his Ph.D. Internship Program under the Student for Development Program of the Centre for Asia Pacific Initiatives (CAPI) at the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada. Haque is a visiting scholar at UVic, Canada. During his decade long teaching career, he has mostly taught courses on environmental governance and sustainable development, human rights and the civil society of Bangladesh, and local governance: policies and practices. His primary areas of focus are environmental governance, human rights, local government, sustainable development, and the SDGs. During his academic tenure, he has also implemented a number of research projects funded by different national and international organizations. Haque is the author and co-author of 65 research papers on governance, climate change, sustainable development, civil society, human rights practices, environmental governance, etc. that have been published in renowned national and international journals. He is a regular columnist in the national dailies, both in Bengali and English. Dr. Haque has presented his research findings and thoughts at over 15 national and international conferences.

Mourade Azrour, PhD
Professor, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Moulay Ismail University of Meknes, Morocco

Mourade Azrour received his PhD from the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Moulay Ismail University of Meknès, Morocco. He received his MS in computer and distributed systems from the Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Zouhr University, Agadir, Morocco in 2014. Mourade currently works as computer sciences professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Moulay Ismail University of Meknès. His research interests include authentication protocol, computer security, the Internet of Things, smart systems and machine learning. Mourade is a member of the scientific committees of numerous international conferences. He is also a reviewer of various scientific journals. He has published more than 60 scientific papers and book chapters. Mourade has edited 2 scientific books: IoT and Smart Devices for Sustainable Environment (2022) and Advanced Technology for Smart Environment and Energy (2023). Finally, he has served as guest editor of the journals EAI Endorsed Transactions on Internet of Things, Tsinghua Science and Technology, Applied Sciences MDPI and Sustainability MDPI.

S. M. Akram Ullah, PhD
Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi- 6205, Bangladesh

Dr. S.M. Akram Ullah is the Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He did his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Institute of Bangladesh Studies at the University of Rajshahi in Bangladesh. Apart from his full-time engagement in the Department of Political Science, Professor Akram provides teaching support to the Department of International Relations, University of Rajshahi as an adjunct faculty member. Environmental Governance, Sustainable Development, Political Theories, Bangladesh Politics, International Relations, Good Governance and Development Discourse are the key areas of his teaching and research interests. He has more than 40 articles and book chapters to his credit. Professor Akram is credited for his great contribution to the different academic journals as an editor as well as an editorial board member. Professor Dr. S.M. Akram Ullah is well known as a good speaker and has meanwhile contributed to more than 50 seminars and conferences at home and abroad in different capacities (paper presenter, discussant, and session chair).
